I am a romantic through and through when it comes to sports; the joy of victory, the agony of defeat, the smells of a basketball gym, the echoes, the squeaks, rabid fans, the life lessons – all of it.

Unlike a photojournalist purely looking to document the key points of a game, I approach my work creatively and love the challenge of encapsulating the mystique and vibe of a contest. Many years of shooting fine art images, concert photography, portraits, etc. all influence my approach and finding ways to blend those influences is a thrill.

Bloomington, Indiana is home base for me, my wife, our daughter, and our two dogs, but for the right opportunities, I am more than willing to travel and love the adventure.
